1. Do know that there are also scammers in Prague.

If it is your first time to travel in Prague, you should not let your guard down.  While the buildings and scenery all around you can keep your eyes busy, don’t let your mind slip off your personal belongings. Always tuck in your bag, hold your cellphones well, and make sure you have a strap for your camera.  Don’t get us wrong, Prague is an amazing country and definitely one of the safest countries you can visit. But due to the influx of tourists every year, it would be hard to find your stuff in case you lose them.

  • Done expect people to smile at you

 Don’t be discouraged if people will not smile back at you. Snobbish looking locals are normal. You cn’t really expect everyone to be pleasing to you. Regardless, there are hundreds of places you should focus on. You should also try the coffee culture and try some local food. They are absolutely delicious!

  • Don’t buy Matryoshka Dolls

Matryoshka Dolls may look so cute but they are not originally from Prague or Czech Republic. The original Matryoshka Dolls comes from Russia and are not favored by locals, because they are a painful reminder of the communism. Some dolls are even with glass or special wooden materials.

  • The padlocks aren’t free

For sure one of your goals is to attach a padlock on the bridge. The added weight of padlocks, when put altogether, can be a burden to the bridge. Nowadays, the government are removing these locks to prevent further damage on the bridge. Moreover, placing a padlock on the tree is not free. Imagine buying a padlock and paying so you can lock on the bridge.
