Travel to Beautiful Arizona! (Just not in the summer!)

Situated in Southwest America, Arizona is home to some of the world’s most beautiful natural wonders, modern big cities, and charming small towns. The Grand Canyon here attracts tourists from around the world, but if you look deeper into Arizona, you will find a lot of unique places and interesting sites. Arizona houses a vast desert, several lakes, high mountains, magnificent slot canyons, saguaro cactus, buttes, waterfalls, and even a freaking volcano with downhill skiing, all of which offer a world of possibilities for having fun on your trip here. Let’s take a look at the 4 places your tour to Arizona is incomplete without –

  1. Grand Canyon

When you stand on the Grand Canyon rim and look out over the endless ridges of colorful cliff walls and deep ravines, you feel nothing short of being in heaven. It’s huge canyon walls glow bright under the sun, with breath-taking hues of orange, red, yellow, and innumerable colors. It is one of America’s most visited tourist destinations, and it is carved out by the mighty Colorado River, which can be seen in the distance far below.

  1. Monument Valley

One of the most beautiful sights to see in the Southwest of USA are the sandstone buttes of the Monument Valley. This area, spread along the border between Arizona and Utah, is home to jagged rock formations, huge stone spires and buttes, and seemingly endless sand dunes. The Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park here is a must visit, especially the impressive visitor center and the 17-mile self-drive route along a one-way gravel road through the park. Guided tours are also available to explore the area more deeply.

  1. Phoenix

Phoenix is a for exploring Arizona but it’s also a major destination in the winter for golfers and sun seekers, who simply want to enjoy a stay at a resort or spa and spend a little time basking in the heat of the desert. In the Phoenix Metropolitan Area, which includes Scottsdale and Mesa, you’ll find great shopping, dining, golf courses, desert parks for walking, hiking, and biking, and some outstanding attractions. Topping the list of places to visit around Phoenix are the Heard Museum and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West.

  1. Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam is one of America’s most iconic engineering marvels. This massive dam was completed in 1935, and it crosses the Colorado River, linking the states of Arizona and Nevada. The Hoover dam is about 726 feet high and over 1,244 feet long. The Lake Mead which is held back by it is the largest artificial lake in America. You can drive or walk across the dam for free, but you have to pay a charge for parking.
